English Circa 1850

This folky vane in the form of Sagittarius the centaur with the bow and arrow.

The copper silhouette on a copper stem sits on an iron arrow that sits on a later base (which is quite obvious when one thinks logically).

Part of his bow and the arrow head are missing but he still stands strong and has a good colour .

This has been in my house for the past 11 yrs and i purchased it from the late Richard Brown at the Cothay Manor antiques fair in Somerset as my wife is a Sagittarius and she has now decided it is time for it to move on.

12" (30.5cm) Wide from arrow tip to flight.

21" (53cm) High on stand.
