An Early 17th Century Welsh Oak Wainscot Chair.

Monmouthshire Circa 1610.

This gnarly chair is presented in as found condition with no wax or polish.

The shaped crest rail with bullseye design,over a panel with central flower head with bullseyes to each corner.The slightly downswept arms over a chunky arm support with chamfered legs which are massive in comparison to the actual chair size.The gnarly seat over front rail with nulling united by a box stretcher.

This chair is certainly over constructed for its size,it has a split to the seat and the left facing arm has two old nails where a historic repair has been undertaken,it also leans to the left.

All that aside it is a solid usable chair that would absolutely shine if waxed but i personally prefer the natural colour and dirt on this one.
