A Late 17th Century Joined Oak Stool.

English 1675-1695

The seat with six pegs and a central cut out 'S' handle, above a moulded and channelled seat frame with shaped apron, on projecting ring turned legs united by a chanel moulded box stretcher.

These stools with cut out handles are a design seldom seen although i have also listed another finer example and these are the first two i have had the pleasure to "HANDLE".

A good colour,surface with a replaced strip to the seat and two stretchers replaced..
