Lancashire / North Chesire Circa 1660

This wonderful backstool is of good colour and patina .

The top with a large scalloped crest with blind carving and pierced fretwork ,each corner with the pyramid finial that is so typical of this area over a single panel back carved with a strap work floral design over a two panel seat on barrel turned legs united by a box stretcher.
