This wonderful and rare ecclesiastical angel is depicted kneeling holding a shield while exposing its large foot.

Like the angels found in church roofs this example is depicted holding a shield which would depicted a symbol of the passion or the coat of arms of the donor family to the church and is presented in that lovely dry church colour.
