Netherlands Circa 1500

A moving Netherlandish oak group of the Pieta.

The virgin with heavily veiled head looks down at the dead body of Christ across her knees.

A wonderful example with fine carving ,a good colour with faint traces of polychrome ,some old worm and a repair to Christs right arm.
