A 17th Century Portrait Of Sir Hardulph Wastneys.

English Circa 1649.

This wonderful portrait depicts Sir Hardulph Wastneys ,Baronet Obit 1649 and The Sheriff  Of Nottingham.

The Wastneys Baronetcy, of Headon in the County of Nottingham, was a title in the Baronetage of England. It was created on 18 December 1622 for Hardolph Wasteneys.This portrait is the 2nd Baronet Steward of East Retford, Sheriff of Nottinghamshire 1653.

A good example that has been relined and a hole restored .

Recently purchased from a house in Rye East Sussex.

The last image is of a painting of Sir Hardulph and his cousin Nathaniel Wastneys in Sherwood forest that was recently exhibited at Nottingham Castle Museum.
