A Henry VIII Period Oak Linenfold Chest.

English Circa 1520.

The twin panel top over moulded rails to the top and bottom with two deeply carved linenfold panels all set with a masons mitre.

Single linenfold panel to the sides and a twin panel back.

This chest has a very good colour and patina and looks very impressive with its deep carving and small size .

Good solid condition .

Internally it has its original till and lid original ring hinges and lockplate.

A small repair to the corner of the right hand lid panel that has been done very well.

This chest is very similar to the other linenfold chest i have listed and i would say they are from the same workshop and were purchased 20 miles apart from each other in West Sussex.
