The Smallest Chest In The World Ever (possibly)

France circa 1620.

Of joined construction this little oak chest is outrageously tactile and has a glorious colour and patina.
The single plank lid over a three panelled front and single paneled sides all with raised moulding, iron escutcheon and strap hinges.
In original condition with traces of old worm damage to the front right hand leg and sides.
A very rare chest designed for the table. I can honestly say this is the smallest coffer I have seen in my 20yrs of trading in early oak.
