A Fine Jacobean Carved Oak Bible Box.

English Circa 1600-1610

A fine box constructed from riven timber the front and sides carved with nulling design to the front and sides.

A very good colour and patina.

In good solid condition the lid has split at some time and has been braced nice and tight to the underside and a small repair to the bottom right hand corner .Great hinges and lock plate ,the interior is lined with Victorian duck egg blue paper which i presume was done when the lid was braced.
