This delightful English chest circa 1610 is of small proportions .

Carved with a nulled freize and chip carved stiles that continues to both sides,the front with an iron escutcheon flanked with the initials R.G.

The three panelled top with moulding to each rail opening to reveal a delihtful til or candle box.

Great condition and colour ,a chunky chest of  useable size.

Later butterfly hinges which can be forgiven, but that is it the rest is untouched ,the back and interior with a natural biscuit colour the exterior oak with a deep dark red hue.
