A 16th Century Carved Oak Roundel.

Continental Circa 1520

This wonderful Roundel depicts Christ Among The Doctors Luke 2,41-52.

When at the age of 12 Christ disappeared during a family trip to Jerusalem – After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.

High quality carving with fine detail ,the roundel bordered with the crown of thorns.

In good condition with a replacement to the top back panel and old filler in a central crack.

Of large size and certainly a statement item.
