A French Carved Stone Depiction Of St.Michael

France circa 1820

Carved from granite this figure has a folk feel to it with St .Michael depicted in a stocky manner in his chain mail suit standing over his prize .

To me this is more refreshing than the muscular depictions we usually see.

The Archangel the later years .

In very good condition

Standing on a flat base so can be displayed easily in or out doors.
