A 17th Century Oak Close Stool.

An English oak close stool the front and side panels with applied moulded edge.

Very good colour with a dry back showing the medullary rays to the oak.

In good condition with its original butterfly hinges there has been restoration to the corner of the underside of the lid.

A great small size and an item with many uses.Recently purchased from a Kentish collection.
