A rare Charles I small boarded oak bible box, Welsh Borders.
 
Possibly Monmouthshire Circa 1620.
 
The carcass of oak boarded form, the front board decorated with multiple concentric roundels or 'draughts' all with scribe lines still visible, the  sides also with bullseye design on an associated base all constructed from  riven boards, secured with nails..
Original ironwork with a superb colour and patina.
