An Extremely Rare Late 17th Century Oak Framed Mirror

An exciting discovery this late 17th early 18th century Mirror which was commissioned to celebrate the marriage of Mr I.F to Mrs A.M.

The top crest with a central angel holding to shields with the initials I.F and A.M topped with smaller angels sitting in what look like crowns above the groom and bride flanked by dragons over another angel flanked by lions.

A work of art that is so pleasing on the eye and although naive has been made with a discerning eye i particularly love the bride with her low bloomers and exaggerated navel.
