Of six plank construction this chest is carved to the top (i know how rare is that) and the front with bullseyes in a lozenge pattern .

The bullseye design is a style originating in Monmouthshire.

Of good colour and patina with its original strap hinges

It has lost its height and now sits on sledge supports.
