A Welsh Primitive Stick Chair.

I could not resist this chair for its sculptural qualities ,it looks like it is still growing in the hedge.

A fire side chair as it is low to the ground but it must have been made for a large chap as it is very wide and deep.

Constructed in ash with heavy traces of welsk purple paint.

A true stick chair in every sense .

In good condition there is slight movement with the legs but it is very stable when sat on with heavy insect damage to the underside of the seat.
