A Rare 15th Century Oak And Iron bound Offertory Box.

SORRY SOLD

Circa 1450 

One of my recent favourite finds this offertory box is constructed from a solid piece of oak with a dug out compartment bound in iron taking three locks to make sure that the contents were safe .

Finished with a grey paint wash and in totally original condition.

One for the collector and purist.
