A Medieval carved stone howling Dog.

This 15th century sculpture of a dog has a great stance with his narrow body and powerful haunches and head slightly tilted as if he is about to howl at the world beneath him.

Recently purchased in West Sussex .

the facing left hand side of his face is slightly weathered and he has lost his front legs and back feet but dislpays well in three different positions.
