A 17th Century Carved Oak Close Stool.

A fine late 17th century joined close stool.The box with two rows of S-shaped carvings all round is raised on stumpy flattened ball turnings united by ball turning stretchers all round.

Good colour and pattina with a void interior ,replaced hinges and a small replacement to the inside lip.
