A Late 18th Century Spanish Offertory Box.

Of dug out contrustion with polychrome finish carved depicting Mary above souls burning in Purgatory, a warning to all showing that a donation to the Church will save you from burning in hell.

The back has an iron handle and a small door with associated lock and key .

A rare example that has been repainted to the top half of the front and back ,the souls and fire are original surface.
