A Jacobean Oak Boarded Chest

Constructed from riven oak boards this six plank chest is of small size and great colour.

The front and back board both overhanging the side boards by 1" and a lovely feature to the facing left hand side is that the knot has fallen out over time leaving a peep hole.

The lid also has a nice look as the right hand side is thicker than the left where the riven board has followed the grain.

Original lockplate and hasp.
