A Rare 17th Century Chair-Table.

The boarded pivotal back/top carved as if it were a traditional chair back with a central lozenge with bold tulip flowers to each corner, applied lunette carved top rail and plain sides, the shaped round-ended open arms on turned front supports, two plank boarded seat over turned legs united by a box stretcher.

This chair has the most wonderful colour and patina and the perfect skin.

Condition :The rear legs have been tipped and the back of the arms where the pivot pin is has some old filler , the top has wear to the bottom facing left hand corner  when up as a chair and i presume this is because of years of being clipped by a foot when walked past.
