A Fine 17th Century Westmoreland Chair.

A Superb chair from the Lake district the crest rail carved with the date 1694 and the initials I.D the i and 1 carved with a traditional love knot that is associated with this region of carving.

A very heavy chair which has presence.

Recently purchased alongside another Westmoreland chair that i have just listed from an East Sussex Estate and the first time offered for sale in the past 40 yrs.

Gorgeous colour and patina ,a desirable chair.
