The Selby Abbey Head Circa 1400.

Two rare stone corbels by repute removed from Selby Abbey Yorkshire .

One depicting the greenman the other a tongue poker

The heads may have formed part of the south transept, which had lain ruinous since 1690, or they may have been removed sometime in the early 20th century, subsequent to the Abbey's near destruction by fire in 1906.
 
Good definition and character with a good surface.
