A Rare Ceiling Boss With Original Polychrome

Carved with Silver vine leaves with gold gilt veins and gold gilt grapes on a red background.

From the Church Of St.Mary The Virgin,St.Marychurch Torquay Devon.

The previous owner was the treasurer of the church who was given this by Reverend Vokes-Dudgeon,while he served as Vicar of the Church of St.Mary the Virgin between the early 1950's and the 1970's,the boss had been previously recovered from the debris of the Church after it had been hit by a bomb on the 30th May 1943.

A Rare discovery ,to find this much original polychrome and to be able to convidently state its original location is very exciting and an honour to be involved in..
