A 15th Century English Gothic Oak Tracery Window Head.

Previously part of The Boarsney House Collection and was lot No 178 in the Sale held by Dreweatt Neate 18/09/2006

The front deeply carved with a simple row of lancets above a cusped arch and the rear showing a carved apotropaic symbol or witch mark .

This symbol is a marking that is thought to create protection for the area in which the item is placed ,so in this example to protect the room in which this small window was built.

13" High

2.5" Deep.In good condition with a small replacement to the facing right hand bottom corner.
