A 17th Century Folky Oak Dresser.

My personal favourite recent find because it says "i am early country with a big smile on my face."

Constructed in a primitive method with riven timber all nailed and tenoned together, one side showing magnificent medullary rays ,the radial ribbons extending vertically through the board with a tiger stripe effect.

The base consisting of three planks with a double moulded edge ,the middle being a single door with original iron hinges (the top hinge being moved up slightly at some time).

The top half being three shelves all fixed by a tenon joint and rose head nails with castellated fronts the top terminating in a point with plank sides and back.

A really nice country colour and patina i am very fond of this one .

6ft high

38" wide

10" deep
