A 17th Century Westmorland Carved Oak Court Cupboard  .

Dated 1692

This squat cupboard is fully carved with S-scrolls of all styles to the front and sides bearing the initials ICM and dated 1692 with the I and 1 both carved as love knots meaning that this would have been a marriage gift.

Constructed in one piece with five doors to the front.

In good order with a dark colour and patina ,the back has been totally renailed with a replaced board to the bottom section,the top interior shelf is later ,all hardware is later and the main shelf although period is associated and slightly lighter in colour
