Carved from a hardwood and with later18th century paint this Corpus that i feel originates from Spain has a folk naive feel to it with an tin strip repair to his facing right hand leg and the crude way it has been painted.

A loss to his nose and foot and now missing his arms but still hanging with a presence of wonder.
