Late 18th Century Stick Back Chair Of Primitive Design.

This stick back chair is typical in design of examples found in the west country.

With splayed outward arms of beech over a thick sycamore and fruitwood two plank seat with staved ash legs.

Originally painted red showing faint traces mainly to the underside of the seat.

In good solid condition ,the facing rear right hand leg is a period replacement.

A real sculptural one this .
