A Fine Pair Of 18th Century Turned Walnut Heemskirk Candlesticks

This is a great pair of sticks for the collector or decorater,if it is a statement piece you are after than look no further.

Elegantly turned in walnut on a similar style to the brass heemskirk examples that we see frequently this pair stand at 22" high with a 9" diameter drip pan .

Each of sectional construction, the circular sconce above a knopped and baluster turned stem with central drip-tray,on a turned circular base

Lead weighted base with small losses to the turnings and burnes to the sconces and one is slightly taller ,possibly formerly with prickets.

Good colour ,one is slightly lighter than the other due to positioning over the years.

A fine rare pair of candle sticks..

A near identicle pair sold at Sotheby's Sussex 29th Febuary  2000 as lot No 362
