A 17th Century Joined Oak Stool

Recently purchased from the collection of a Sussex Manor house with connections to the music industry .

A chunky example the top with six pegs, turned baluster legs with a cotton reel turning united by four stetchers.

Stamped with the initials I D underneath the top.

11" Deep

A substantial stool in original condition with a good honest colour and patina.

An identicle stool stamped I M sold as lot 147 at Christie's oak and country sale 23rd Febuary 2000.
