A 17th Century Carved Oak Desk Box

Circa 1640 and probably Gloucester region

The front carved with a pair of wyverns with arrow head Tongues.

Plain sides and back,the interior with three drawers.

Good colour and patina.

A few knocks to the applied moulding base ,later handle to center drawer and the metal work has been cleaned at some stage .

You have to admit the wyverns make you smile they are not mean at all quite friendly i think.
