A Set Of Four Carved Oak Romayne Panels.

A fun set with a folky naive look.

Purchased in France and originaly from a coffer or cupboard.

Each profile in a plain roundel with bold S-scrolls to the base and carved deeply.

The female has unfortunately lost her nose ,but it adds to her ugliness in a pretty way.

Signs of old worm as is often found in these French panels ,a good dark colour and patina .
