A Delightful 17th Century Carved Oak Bible Box

Recently purchased from a local sussex period cottage.

The front carved with a floral lunette with a pair of hearts flanking the lockplate.

A real charmer this one constructed of thin timber in original condition ,the lid has been braced underneath and it has a few nibbles to the bottom of the front board.

Good colour and patina as i say a real charmer.
