Early 17th century joined oak armchair,the back panel with carved leaf decoration with a single flower head to the center,this decoration is typical of the west country artisans of the period.

The horizontal arms with turned front legs and lunette seat rails

Good signs of wear to the original seat,the chair has a very good colour and patina

In good overall condition the finials are a later addition and two stretchers are period replacements and there are later iron supports under the seat

Recently purchased from a kentish farmhouse where it has been with the same family since 1860
